NAREB was founded in 1947, as an equal opportunity and civil rights advocacy organization for African American Real Estate Professionals, Consumers, and Communities. NAREB has fought to ensure that African-Americans and other minorities received fair treatment in all real estate transactions. NAREB is the oldest minority trade association and its members are known as ‘Realtist’ and focus on promoting the highest standards of professional integrity. Julia Israel is a licensed REALTOR®, Productivity Coach and Trainer for Keller Williams Integrity Realty. She acquired her real estate license in 2001 and her real estate broker license in 2007.
Over the past 16 years she has owned several real estate related businesses and served hundreds of REALTORS®.
Julia has a passion for building stronger communities by promoting homeownership, especially in diverse neighborhoods. As a certified Homestretch instructor with the MN Homeownership Center, she educates people about the home buying process and assists them in achieving their homeownership dreams.
Julia Israel is the co-founder and Chair of Umoja Community Development Corporation (UCDC), a non-profit organization that works to build inclusive communities where all people can attain homeownership and benefit from community development.
Aarica Coleman is a Senior Project Coordinator at City of Minneapolis Community Planning and Economic Development (CPED) in 1-4 unit residential real estate development and a real estate Broker with Metro Elite Realty. She has over 17 years public and private real estate industry experience including private and corporate representation, public administration, affordable housing, multi-family and single family housing development and mortgage financing. Aarica currently volunteers as Board Chair of the Twin Cities chapter of National Association of Real Estate Brokers (NAREB).
Aarica has a passion and strong commitment to help those who are marginalized and structurally disenfranchised improve the trajectory of their lives and communities through homeownership, economic and political education.
Richelle Taylor is a residential real estate veteran with 18 years combined experience as an agent, administrator, and loan originator. Due to Richelle’s in depth knowledge of both the real estate market and loan processes, she is an ally to all clients. As a first time homebuyer trainer, she also naturally brings an educational lens to her clients. This approach helps empower them to make the best financial decisions to reach their homeownership goals.
In addition to her work as a real estate agent, she is the founder of Twin Cities NAREB (National Association of Real Estate Brokers), and the SPAAR Diversity Chair for 2017. She is also a member of the governor’s task force on housing. Originally from the Midwest, Richelle graduated from Concordia College with a degree in Marketing Management and Innovation.
Trent Bowman is VP, Community Development Officer. “Trent is responsible for further developing KleinBank’s relationships with community leaders and organizations to assess and bring meaningful banking solutions to the needs of our communities.”
Mr. Bowman’s 20 years of experience includes recently serving as AVP/CRA-Residential Lending Officer at Associated Bank and previous roles at Wells Fargo, M&I Bank, and Centennial Mortgage. His emphasis will be on first-time homebuyers and the supporting programs that help them better understand the home buying process along with the responsibilities that go with being a homeowner.
Mr. Bowman serves on a number of committees with the goal to bridge the gap amongst minority home buyers. These organizations include: Local Initiative Support Corp (LISC) Advisory Council, Homeownership Opportunity Alliance (HOI), Minneapolis Urban league, Model Cities, NAREB, NEDA, and Neighborhood Economic Opportunity Network (NEON). He is a graduate of Minneapolis Community College.
Nicole Wright is Vice President of Diverse Segments Business Development for Wells Fargo Funding and Charitable Giving Manager for the Wells Fargo Housing Foundation. She holds a Master of Public Affairs in Housing and Community Development from the University Of MN Humphrey School Of Public Affairs and a Bachelor of Arts self-designed major, “Perspectives on Social Inequality and Difference.”
She is a 2016 Emmy Recipient as Project Advisor for Make Money Work: Financial documentary with PBS – Twin Cities Public Television and named 2017 Top Women in Finance by Finance and Commerce. Nicole grew up on the East Side area of St. Paul and has been a resident of North Minneapolis for 17 years where she is raising her family.
